Images have the power to inspire, bring joy, call to action, take you back, or take you inward and make you think. I found the art of photography after I left the theater world to focus on my family. As an artist, photography has driven my passion to continue to create. My background in theater and sketch comedy helps me to capture and design the delicate balance between story and art.
In this series, I want the viewer to delight in the beauty and grace of the female body in motion. During the creation of these images, I explored my own complex notions on sensuality. As a woman, it is part of my being, and I’m fascinated with both its power and delicacy.
These images are all single shots taken with a long exposure. All the photographs are archivally printed on Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper.
Please join us on Sun., Sept. 17th from 10:30 A.M – 4:00 P.M. to view and congratulate this year's class. 14 students have worked months to create amazing bodies of work! Included with the WithInSight Gallery this year are photographs from our new High School Program (FreshLens). Included in the opening are hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and a raffle with a chance to win one of the artist's prints. We hope to see you!
